New Deal Programs
There's an old saying that if you select three letters at random and arrange them in any order, you will likely have spelled the abbreviation of a federal government agency. This was nearly the case with the New Deal, as FDR issued executive orders and Congress passed laws creating all sorts of executive agencies designed to provide relief, recovery, or to reform the U.S. economy to alleviate the effects of the depression. Many succeeded, while many more failed or were overturned by the courts, which explains why several of them essentially do the same thing.
